FRESH Junior is kicking off the year looking at the ‘Tough Words’ of Jesus found in Matthew (Matthew’s gospel/biography of Jesus’ life).
Jesus says tough words, such as, “I have not come to call the righteous but sinners” and “the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many”.
Jesus’ words are indeed tough, and that should be expected from the Son of God – we should expect him to always say things that we’re comfortable with. But as we dig a bit deeper, these tough words are not just worth listening to, but clinging to, for they are incredibly beautiful in how they speak truth and life into our lives.
